The U.S. Forest Service’s office in Fort Collins has been closed on Tuesday because of unspecified safety concerns as anonymous threats have closed federal agriculture offices nationwide.
Federal authorities eradicated 18,300 marijuana plants Thursday morning from an illegal grow operation spanning across about five acres of land in the Pike National Forest west of Colorado Springs.
Trail construction began in August and will continue through the fall to make a new multi-use trail on lands managed by the U.S. Forest Service and El Paso County.
The White River National Forest has issued a Final Environmental Impact Statement approving Arapahoe Basin ski area’s plan to develop 338-acre of expert terrain and add new chairlifts as well as a zipline canopy tour.
